The Mediator creates a setting that enables conflicting parties to:

1) Discuss their dispute.
2) Address any misunderstandings they may have.
3) Generate possible solutions.
4) Agree to a mutually beneficial solution.

This agreement is then put into writing, signed by both parties, and becomes a legally binding contract.

Both parties can agree to keep the entire mediation process confidential, meaning that all information disclosed during the mediation process, may not be shared with the public or other outside parties.
